
Perfect Host and Chef!
On Monday, March 23rd, 2020, we said goodbye to the two kittens and Roberto. Not that we got bored here. We always have something to do. And we have enough reading material for the next three months. However, we knew from other travelers that at Atotonilco el Alto (a tongue twister!) there is Charly, a Swiss, which lives in Mexico for over 27 years. He should not only have a nice campsite with bungalows but also a very good kitchen. (We would also have an alternative there if we had to move out at the Balneario.)
After a stopover in Guadalajara, where we refreshed our supplies, we reached Atotonilco after a three-hour drive. Charly who lives a few kilometers outside, welcomed us like old friends and immediately invited us for a beer. That was a great start! Here we have everything our heart desires and can once again enjoy Swiss specialties. There are hash browns and «Zürcher Geschnetzeltes», Cordon Bleu, but also Bratwurst with mustard! And homemade ice cream! And there is a swimming pool: Charly’s Restaurant
PS: Our plan is the following: One-week at Charly (with Swiss cuisine) and then two weeks in the Balneario for fitness … There is no better way to sit out the virus than here and in our Balneario!
