I celebrated my 66th birthday in Lahore, Pakistan. The 73rd in Puerto Montt, Chile; the 74th in New Mexico, in the United States; the 75th in Atotonilco, Mexico. And on April 14th I celebrated my 76th with friends and acquaintances in Omaruru, Namibia. As always, food and drinks were not neglected. And what did we laugh that evening!

This day did not go by without a surprise either! It all started when I wrote on the invitation that we would meet at Ecki’s at 4 pm. However, I assumed that our guests would not come until 5 pm. When they arrived, I was still under the shower! But Brigitta saved the situation and, together with Ecki, welcomed the guests on my behalf. Fortunately, that was the only mishap that day …

I have been given rich gifts. Among other things a wooden crocodile that Paul, the owner of Tikoloshe Afrika brought with him. Ecki served oryx steak, grilled sausages and many different salads. And of course, we were also served good wine and fresh beer…

PS. The best came at the end: Gabi and Sybille brought a LARGE Black Forest cake with them. Luckily there is a piece of it left for tonight (for me 😉) …
