When traveling and especially when you stay in the same place for a long time as we do now, you get to know a lot of nice people. For example, Andrea and Sandro, who is related to Charly.

Sandro grew up in Switzerland and did a banking apprenticeship. After various positions in Switzerland, he worked for a bank in the Bahamas. (I don’t assume that this bank was involved in the «Panama Paper Scandal» – smile!) After several years in the Bahamas, Sandro and his wife moved to Mexico, near Atotonilco, where his uncle Charly also lives. More important than him, however, was the love to Andrea, whose parents live in the area.

Andreas and Sandro have built a beautiful house. And yesterday we were invited there. We discovered that Sandro has Italian roots and that his wife, Andrea, is very good at cooking when the steaming Pasta al Forno was served. Grazie mille cari amici! Viva Italia!

PS: Ice-cold beer quenched the first big thirst. The meal was accompanied by a delicious Malbec from Mendoza, Argentina. Salud!
