IT’S ABOUT TIME TO SAY GOOD BYE!

Zurich in the Times of Covid 19!

During spring 2020, when we traveled in Mexico, we received weekly emails from the Swiss embassy telling us to return immediately to Switzerland. We didn’t understand then or now what the purpose of this action was, because the hospitals in Switzerland were already full without the many migrants who return as potential patients! Why should we go back to a country that was getting used to the first lockdown in its history?

However, the experience we had in Switzerland over the last seven weeks showed us that there is also another Switzerland. One in which we were greeted by family and friends with open arms (and sometimes even a hug!). Thank you so much! But despite all that: the virus is omnipresent here. At the moment, it seems that a new regulation or ban is coming into force every day. But enough is enough!

We will fly to Windhoek via Frankfurt on November 5th, 2020 – with a negative Covid 19 test and a lot of anticipation for southern Africa (Namibia is twenty times the size of Switzerland with less than 2.5 million inhabitants – there is no quarantine and no density stress!)

PS. Thank you for the hospitality that was granted to us throughout our homeland during our stay. Not least because of this, we still felt a bit at home in Switzerland …
