A place to stay!
There are places where you like to stay a day longer. For example, in the Omarunga Lodge near the Epupa Falls. When we were served a delicious meal last night and had a South African Cabernet Sauvignon with it, I suggested to Brigitta that we should stay an extra day. She thought it was a good idea.
So, it happened that the next morning we looked out of the roof tent once more at the mirror-smooth water of the Kunene, which a few hours later is rippled by the wind. We had breakfast on the bank of the river and watched the area with binoculars. There is always something to see. Yesterday it was a group of baboons that followed the river on the other side of the river in Angola. And a crocodile basking on a sandbar. Today we observed a Goliath Heron, Lovebirds, Wagtails, African Mourning Doves, Southern Masked Weaver and Pririt Batis – only an owl we have not yet seen …
PS. Speaking of work: Brigitta applied rust converters to the bodywork today. In places where I had already applied paint. She said that had to be done in the other order. Ok, I learned something for next time!
