No no; there are no offspring from either of us. But this is still an issue for us at the moment. When we play a round of golf on the course, we are considered offspring here. Not because of our age; but because we have only been members of the Rössmund Golf Club since 2023. The management is glad to have new arrivals, because the more golfers there are, the more likely the course will generate profit so that necessary maintenance work can be carried out. With our annual fee we also help to ensure that the golf course remains in good condition.

However, there are new arrivals on the golf course in other forms. Now is the time when the springboks give birth to their offspring. That’s what they do on the golf course; either in the shade of a palm tree or in a bush. We are always careful not to get in the way of a birth and therefore take detours. And if we (unintentionally) disturb a springbok mother, we apologize to her – as we should! It’s always a joy to see the young springboks taking their first leaps into life on shaky feet…
