NICKNAMES: RAGUSA AND FONDUE

Our sweet tooth!

When we pitched our tents in Fort Namutoni on February 10th, 2022, the first thing we experienced was to receive presents. Our friends had packed their two travel bags not only with their clothes and utensils but also with things for us. For Brigitta there were two fixed bedding-sheets (there is nothing like that in Namibia), a caquelon, with a rechaud and fondue cheese mixture! And what was there for me? Two big sticks of Ragusa! (I had ordered these from Iris by e-mail and asked her not to tell Brigitta!)

In the evening, as we sat together at the table, we discussed our itinerary through Etosha. Brigitta presented the two small Motorola radios with a range of ten kilometers – that should be enough to contact each other when special animal sightings occur! Ueli suggested that we use the password «Ragusa» and THEY the password «Fondue». A great idea!

PS. Fondue and Ragusa are the talk of the Etosha since we’ve been on the road!
