We met Kölbi and his wife many years ago during our world tour near Angkor Wat. We were amazed that evening when we came across a Land Cruiser with Berner license plates at one of the rare campsites in this country. We spent some unforgettable days and drank a few cans Angkor beer in the evening together.

We met again a few months later in Thailand, where we spent some days together on a beautiful beach. We enjoyed these carefree time and drank one or two Chang beer in the evenings. Another beer, this time an Anchor we then drank together in Melakka, Malaysia. At the next meeting we were all back in Switzerland, drinking Klosterbräu and remembering our shared experiences around a campfire in the forest.

And then we met again on August 23, 2024 to celebrate Kölbi’s sixtieth birthday, which he organized together with his friend. It was an unforgettable celebration where there was plenty of Quöllfrisch beer and we enjoyed grilled delicacies! (For dessert there was the crème slices I loved so much!) The absolute highlight, however, was the «Rollator Dragster Race» over ten meters, in which the most unlikely vehicles fought for first place. It was great fun!
