I love you!
Honny soit qui mal y pense! In English: (Be ashamed of those who think badly about it.). We are not talking about us here, but about our feathered friends, the birds.
The older we get, the more we enjoy bird watching. Birds can be observed all over the world. All you need is patience and good binoculars. Since we spend part of the year in southern Africa and have become more sedentary, we have more time for bird watching. We don’t have to go far for this, because we have daily a lot of birds visiting our garden.
Even more since Brigitta fixed a feeding station in the tree a few weeks ago. There, sparrows, waxbills, gray lorry, wagtail and lovebirds fight over food. Some hang on the cord with which the bird house is attached to the branch. Others sit on the roof or at the food source. And those who can’t find a place there sit on the ground and pick what falls off – and that’s not a small amount!
PS. If you want to know more about the pretty but noisy lovebirds, read here.
