Namibia: Caprivi-Strip (Zambezi-Strip)

The Caprivi Strip is a tip-shaped bulge in the northeast of the national territory of Namibia. The demarcation and naming go back to the colonial prehistory of the country as German South West Africa. The area is bounded by the Okavango, Kwando and Zambezi rivers. With a maximum width of 100 kilometers, it has a west-east extension of around 500 kilometers.(Source: Wikipedia)
