What a feeling!
I’ve known Jo since a young age. Back then, many decades ago, we spent a weekend or two together and drove into the mountains in our 4×4. (In contrast to today, you could still do that back then!) We camped, sat around the campfire, smoked and enjoyed the evening. The conversations were about many things; just not about Ferraris…
For a while we lost touch and became deeply involved in our jobs. But we never completely broke off contact with each other, even though we didn’t see each other that often anymore. Travelling, good food and good wine connected us – mutual visits followed. Unlike before, we no longer smoked a joint, but Cuban cigars. The bottles of wine hadn’t disappeared; but they wore different labels than before…
When Jo heard that we had bought an apartment in Kandersteg, he suggested visiting us in the Bernese Oberland. And so, on a sunny Saturday, a Ferrari 328 GTS pulled into our parking lot. What a vehicle! What an engine hum! What a color! VIVA ITALIA!
PS. One thing is certain: the Chinese will still not be able to build such cars in a hundred years. And who wants a Ferrari with an electric drive?
