DON’T GET IN MY WAY!

Don't mess with me!

No, no, we’re not having a fight. And we don’t sleep in separate bedrooms, which would be obvious given my snoring. What brings me to this title is the painting that has been hanging on the wall for one month. The original title: «Don’t mess with me!»

We discovered this painting in the gallery of Benguela Cove winery, located near Hermanus, in South Africa. We actually wanted to taste wine there. We did that too. But when we saw this painting by a South African artist, we immediately agreed that we would buy it. However, before purchasing, we wanted to be sure that there was a large enough white wall in our house where the painting would be shown to advantage. It only became clear that this place existed when we were back home in Swakopmund and took measurements.

Brigitta transferred the amount due and asked that the painting be brought to Swakopmund as quickly as possible. That took time. And lasted. And lasted. When, after six weeks and the turn of the year, the truck with the painting on board drove up to our house, there was a loud rumble! It was the weight that fell from our hearts. Two days later the rhinos were hanging on the wall where they shout to us every day: Don’t mess with me!
